Booking made simple, for you and for your customers.

SensaBook gives your business a booking page customers can use at any hour, and gives you the calendar, client records and team scheduling behind it. Whether you work on your own or with a team, on the phone or computer you already have.

SensaBook is in a limited beta. Paid subscriptions are not being collected yet — view planned pricing for the Free, Solo and Business plans.

Wondering how much setting it up takes? Getting started walks through it in seven steps.

Who it is for

Appointment-based service businesses: massage therapists, barbers and hairstylists, nail technicians, aestheticians, personal trainers, tutors and instructors, consultants, studio photographers and in-shop repair — among plenty of others.

Why your line of work does not limit what it can do

Nothing in the product is specific to one trade — and one honest gap.

Massage therapy was the first use case we optimized for, but nothing in the product is massage-specific. It is built from six ordinary ideas: a business, the people who do the work, the services you offer, when you are available, your clients, and the appointments between them. Your line of work configures SensaBook; it does not decide what SensaBook is capable of.

If your work happens at the customer's address, you can book it today like any other appointment — but there is no service address, travel time or arrival window yet. Those are on the roadmap below.

Built for the way you work

Solo and Business / Team describe how SensaBook is used, not two different products.

Solo

An independent professional running their own calendar and client list.
  • One bookable person, created for you when you set the business up
  • Your services, hours, clients, notes and calendar
  • A public booking page in your own name
  • No questions with one answer — customers are never asked to choose a person

Business / Team

A business managing several people, several calendars and shared services.
  • As many people as the business has, in one directory
  • Owner, Admin and Staff roles, with staff kept out of team administration
  • People with a login and people without one, side by side
  • Per-person hours and per-service eligibility
  • Two people can hold the same time — the same person never can
  • Customers choose a person, or leave it as “Anyone available”
  • Your front desk can book “Anyone available” too, and it books whoever is free

There is nothing in SensaBook today that unlocks or withholds a feature based on a plan. Every account in the beta has everything on this page, and the final plan boundaries are still being decided — see planned pricing for what each plan is expected to include.

What SensaBook does today

Everything in this section is available now, to every beta account. Open any row for the detail.

Your own booking page

A public page with your services, prices and hours, live when you publish it.

A one-page public site with your business as the headline — your services, prices, durations and business hours, and a button to book. It goes live only when you publish it, and you can look at the whole thing before anyone else does.

  • Choose your own web address
  • Headline, description and public contact details
  • Services with prices and durations, and your business hours
  • Preview the page before you publish it
  • Publish, unpublish, or keep the page up with booking switched off

Booking your customers can do themselves

Pick a service and a time, no account needed, with a private link to change it.

Customers pick a service, a date and a time and book — no account, no app to download. The confirmation email carries a private link they can use to confirm, reschedule or cancel, inside the window you set.

  • Service, then date, then time, then their details
  • No sign-up required to book
  • Confirmation email with a private manage link
  • Reschedule and cancel, within your own cutoff
  • Customers who sign in with the same email see their bookings without the link
  • Bot protection and abuse limits on every public booking

Your day and your calendar

Today, day, week and month — plus booking people in yourself and blocking out time.

Today shows what is happening now, what is next, the rest of the day and the gaps in between. The calendar gives you a day agenda on a phone, a week grid on a computer, and a month view that marks the days with work on them.

  • Today, day, week and month views
  • Book someone in yourself, for a named person or for whoever is free
  • Times that would collide are shown as booked and cannot be picked
  • Block out time that is not an appointment
  • Mark completed, no-show or cancelled — nothing is ever deleted

Availability the booking page respects

Business hours, per-person hours, buffers, notice periods and time zones.

Set the hours the business is open, then let each person follow those hours or keep their own. Close a single date, open an unusual one, and keep a turnaround gap after each appointment. Every time a customer is offered comes from those rules.

  • Weekly business hours, plus exceptions for specific dates
  • Per-person hours, or follow the business hours
  • Buffer time after an appointment
  • Minimum notice, and how far ahead customers may book
  • Time zones and daylight saving handled properly

Clients and session notes

A searchable client list, full appointment history, and dated notes that keep every version.

A search-first client list with contact details and full appointment history, and a dated note timeline for each client. Editing a note keeps the previous version; retiring one voids it rather than destroying it.

  • Search-first client list, with archived records kept
  • Appointment history, cancellations included
  • Dated notes with version history
  • Void and restore a note — there is no delete
  • Duplicate-contact hints that suggest and never merge for you
  • Notes never appear in an email, a link, or your public page

Services, priced the way you sell them

Duration, price, buffer and who performs each one — with history that never changes.

Each service carries a name, a duration, a price and its own turnaround buffer, and you say which people perform it. Deactivate one instead of deleting it — past appointments keep the name, duration and price they were booked at.

  • Duration, price and buffer per service
  • Show a service on the public page, or keep it internal
  • Choose exactly who performs each service
  • Deactivate rather than delete
  • History never changes when you edit a price

Your team, however it is shaped

One directory for everyone, with permission and bookability as separate switches.

One directory of everyone who works with you — people with a login, people with an invitation pending, and people with no account at all. What someone is allowed to do and whether they take appointments are two separate switches, deliberately.

  • Owner, Admin and Staff roles
  • Invitations the person accepts themselves — you never set anyone's password
  • People who take appointments without needing a login
  • Per-person hours and per-service eligibility
  • An email and phone for each person, separate from how they sign in
  • Optionally let customers ask for a specific person when they book

Appointment email that sends itself

Confirmations, day-before reminders, and cancellation and reschedule notices.

Confirmations when a booking is made, a reminder the day before, and notices when something moves or is cancelled — whether the change came from you or from the customer. You are told when a booking lands, too.

  • Booking confirmations to the customer
  • A reminder the day before
  • Cancellation and reschedule notices, both directions
  • A new-booking alert to you
  • Client notes never appear in any message

On the roadmap

None of the following is available yet. Roadmap items are planned or being explored, and may change as we learn from beta users. There are no dates.

PlannedDeposits and card payments

Taking a deposit at the time of booking, and paying for an appointment online.

PlannedText-message reminders

Reminders and confirmations by text as well as by email.

PlannedSetup suited to your industry

Suggested services, wording and sensible starting settings for the kind of business you run, instead of a blank page.

PlannedChoosing what you record about a client

Deciding which extra details your client records hold, rather than taking the set we chose.

ExploringArrival windows and drop-off bookings

Services that promise a range like “between 12 and 2”, or a date with no time at all, alongside the exact appointment times SensaBook books today.

ExploringWork at the customer's address

Service addresses, travel time between jobs, and the areas you cover — for businesses that go to the customer rather than the other way round.

ExploringBringing an existing client list in

Importing the clients you already have from a spreadsheet.

Works on the device you already have

SensaBook runs in the browser on iPhone, Android phones, tablets, Windows PCs and Macs. It is designed phone-first, and you can add it to a phone's home screen so it opens like an app.

There is no App Store or Google Play download, and SensaBook needs an internet connection — it does not work offline.

Beta access

SensaBook is in a limited beta. It has been through substantial testing already; the point of the beta is to learn from real businesses doing real work in it, and to improve on what they actually run into.
